Our facilities are located in Bulgaria, European Union.

What are RemoTEK’s official business hours?

Our non-extended business hours are 10:00 thru 19:00 Eastern European Time (EET) which is 2 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Is there a lock-in period?

All outsourcing contracts can be unilaterally cancelled with one month’s notice.

Does my company incur costs when an employee is on sick leave or is otherwise absent?

No. Regardless of the reason for the absence, a deduction is made from your monthly invoice proportionately to the period of absence.

How many days of paid time off (PTO) will employees which I offshore to RemoTEK have?

All employees who get hired are entitled by local labor law to 20 days of PTO per calendar year.

Who decides when an employee can take PTO?

Each employee asks for approval before taking paid time off. Employees will never take PTO without your prior consent.

Are there any additional charges relating to PTO?


What is the billing cycle period?

You will be invoiced once on the 1st of every month.

Are there any upfront costs associated with offshoring staff to RemoTEK?

No, we don’t charge anything upfront.

I require the employees which I offshore to RemoTEK to work in my own time zone. Is this possible?

Yes, very much so. At a reasonable extra cost, RemoTEK will accommodate you in your time zone and have the employees work your hours.

How many workdays are on the official work calendar in Bulgaria?

In 2019, there are 249 workdays on the calendar.

How many hours are there in a workweek in Bulgaria?

Local labour law stipulates the workweek as having precisely 40 hours. Accordingly, all employees which you offshore to RemoTEK will have 8-hour workdays. The mandatory rest period of 1 hour per day is counted on top of this number, such that the business day starts at 10:00 and ends at 19:00.

I require the employees which I offshore to RemoTEK to observe the official holidays and weekdays of my country’s official business calendar. Is this possible?

Yes. At a reasonable extra cost, RemoTEK will have the employees work in accordance with your country’s business calendar.

Which languages can I expect the employees which I offshore to RemoTEK to be fluent in?

English is prevalent in the IT industry. As such, you can expect all employees to be fluent in English, or at least to have an above average proficiency to guarantee a solid level-of-service (LOS).
